Fitting Your Home Theater System Into Your Den By
Tali Sarnetzky Yes, it is possible and doesn't have to be costly! All you need for a great home theater experience is a television set, not smaller than 27 inches, a DVD player, preferably with a progressive scan option and a set of at least three speakers.
Most homes have a television set, this is a fact, Buying a 27 inch television set these days is not too expensive. A DVD player is quite cheap these days as well and, quite often, you can buy a home-theater-in-the-box system, which will provide the DVD player and the speakers in one package to save you even more money! All you need to do is to simply place these components in your den and enjoy your new home theater system.
Just make sure that you position them in the right places. Put the television set, if possible, straight in front of the main sitting area or sofa, so that you can enjoy the display quality and the scenes of your favourite movies in your home theater.
Place the DVD player near the television set, either under it or above it, in your entertainment center. And space the speakers around the room: one to the left, one to the right and one in the rear center of your den, perhaps behind that central sofa.
You don't have to change the layout of your den to suit your home theater system, because it is likely that other things you have in your den can only enhance your home theater experience.
Think about it: how often do you get to reach out to the table in front of you and pick up a cup of coffee or a frozen TV dinner at a movie theater?! Here you can pause the movie, answer the phone, change the sound settings, see extra features on the DVD, enjoy your favourite snacks, and much much more! All from the comfort of your own home, with the new experience of your home theater system.
